Paarth Garg our internee completed his short film ‘ A Myriad Facades’. The 5 and a half minute film was part of his internship project with us. The film featured about 19 actors and was premiered in the Christ University Auditorium on 13 May. Having completed his 7-month internship with us, Paarth will focus next on sending this film to various national and international short film festivals.

He also completed the manuscript of a book ‘Ten steps to do a play’ . This book now lies in wait for a publisher.

We performed for the inmates of Mathruchaya – an old age home run by Canara Bank on 9th May. There were about 15- 20 people watching the performance. All of them in the age group of 75 – 95.

This performance was part of a charity initiative of ours where we perform for a charitable institution free of cost once every month. This is on the second-Saturday of every month. Till date we have performed for cancer patients, blind people, juvenile delinquent homes, orphanages, street children and so on and so forth.

Christ University in association with Script Peoples Theatre presents an evening of world music with the group Shoonya. This event will be held on  21st June to commemmorate World Music Day.  

Shoonya is a contemporary world music group that draws its influence from African rhythms, Carnatic & Hindustani music,  to modern Jazz. The event will be held at the state-of-the-art Christ University Auditorium. Tickets will be available shortly.

Trainers Sibu Vaz, Mohammed Arif & Soundharya were at Lawrence School, Lovedale (Ooty) from 27 April to 30 April.  The school was celebrating their 151st anniversary and their student directed theatre production needed help. Over two days the team worked on developing the production.

The team added new music compositions, added a lighting design, choreographed new pieces and strengthened the script and overall design. All of this was done in two days. The production when staged on 29th April was a tremendous experience for the audience. The school now plans to stage it in other residential schools in Ooty.
